DF40A

          The DF40A is the only engine in its 40 hp class to offer DOHC performance and is also the only engine in its class to feature a maintenance-free, oil-bathed timing chain that gives the outboard greater durability and maintenance-free operation. Featuring larger displacements for increased power and performance, Suzuki's Lean Control System for improved fuel economy, and more compact and lighter designs than the previous model, the new DF40A engines also include the Suzuki Troll Mode System. During the 2011 Miami Boat Show, Boat Writers of America presented Suzuki Marine with the NMMA Innovation Award for the DF40A.
