The new BF225 outboards bring legendary Honda performance to new waters, from easier maintenance to tougher corrosion resistance. The BF225 features Honda's exclusive Intelligent Shift and Throttle, or iST. The iST provides all the features sailors are looking for, including: a best-in-class, automotive-style 90 amp alternator and our AMP+® electronic control that automatically increases amps when idling. Multi-Port Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) continuously delivers the ideal fuel/air mixture to the cylinders for impressive starts, response, performance and efficiency. NMEA 2000® Certified allows the use of third-party electronic components without the expense of an additional gateway interface.
